Amazing Power of Personality

Its amazing how one individual is distinct from another individual. I have two daughters, Sarah and Katie, 4 and 1 month, respectively. Sarah was an unbelieveably easy baby. Katie...not so much. Whenever she is not eating or sleeping she is crying. I mean ear piercing scream. I am interested to see how Katie will differ from Sarah as she grows and develops her full personality. I grew up believing that nurture was more important than nature when it comes to raising children. Katie is causing me to rethink all of this. I am not ready to let go of the influence of nurture just yet. However, I am learning that disposition and personality my be more genetic than I previously thought.

Discovering Useful Tools for the Classroom

I have spent my “snow day” researching free Web 2.0 tools for the classroom. I have become intrigued by the affect of using even the simplest multimedia in the classroom. Students are immediately engaged whenever I integrate music, images, webpages, etc. into my lessons.This generation is inundated with media, social networking, smartphones, and online gaming. I am trying to find ways to couple my lessons with their interests. Here are a few things I have found today worth looking into:
